Sunbelt Plastics Nominated for 2014 Manufacturer of the Year

Centerville, GA, June 21, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Sunbelt Plastics Extrusions was nominated for 2014 Manufacturer of the Year in the state of Georgia by Houston County in the small business category on April 14, 2014, during Industry Appreciation Week in Georgia. The week of April 14th – 17th, Sunbelt was recognized at multiple venues. Sunbelt was honored with a plaque and recognized at an event in Perry, GA honoring all Houston County Companies nominated for manufacturer of the year. Sunbelt was also recognized in Centerville, GA at the City of Centerville Council Meeting where Tim Roberts spoke on behalf of Sunbelt Plastics.

Manufacturer of the Year was announced at an awards ceremony in Atlanta, GA on April 17th, 2014.

About the Manufacturer of the Year Award
The awards are given during Georgia’s Manufacturing Appreciation Week, which was developed by the Technical College System of Georgia and the Georgia Department of Economic Development. Businesses must have been in operation for a minimum of three years in Georgia to be nominated for the awards. Three awards are given – small (1-150 employees), medium (151-500 employees) and large (500 or more). The winner is chosen based on three criteria – corporate responsibility, economic impact in Georgia, and workforce excellence.
