Pine Grove, PA, August 18, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Solar Innovations, Inc., a custom manufacturer of residential and commercial skylights; sunrooms; greenhouses; conservatories; curtain walls; and sliding, folding, and stacking walls, doors, windows, and screens, offers product solutions to meet or exceed each of the new natural air ventilation requirements.

The recently adopted “2013 California Building Energy Efficiency Standards” significantly increased requirements for high performance windows, doors, and skylights. Under the new California standards, large rooms may require additional ventilation to ensure proper air exchange and air quality is maintained inside commercial and residential buildings. Depending upon the space’s requirements, Solar can provide ventilation ranging from simple windows to venting skylights, to large operable wall or skylight systems.

Solar’s venting, operable, and retractable skylights are excellent solutions for the new requirements. Each skylight is custom engineered to meet a location’s specific design and performance needs. Solar Innovations, Inc. can automate the operation of overhead venting based on temperature or time intervals to ensure the air exchange rates are met. The venting systems can also be forced open or closed upon command. Solar Innovations, Inc.’s G2 eave and ridge vent systems combine required performance and aesthetic appeal. The systems can be included in new construction or retrofitted to be incorporated into preexisting construction.

Solar’s venting systems possess advanced thermal performance when compared to similar product offerings. Products are manufactured with thermally broken, aluminum framing and can integrate high performance double or triple pane insulated glass to ensure the need for ventilation does not sacrifice other areas of performance. Ventilation options, which traditionally allowed heat to escape in the winter and to enter in the summer, can now meet required energy efficient performance standards.

Solar Innovations, Inc.’s products are manufactured in Pine Grove, Pennsylvania, at their LEED Gold certified manufacturing facility. Solar’s in-house design and engineering teams continuously improve product offerings and lead the industry in quality and performance. Project specific testing can be completed on-site and receive third party national certification.

In addition to California, the New York City Department of Buildings will begin enforcing the “2014 NYC Construction Codes” effective October 1, 2014. Solar Innovations, Inc. has begun familiarizing its team with the required ventilation codes, to better serve the needs of their customers.

Solar Innovations, Inc.’s experts can design custom solutions to meet project specific requirements. Solar’s team of designers and engineers will work with customers to achieve proper ventilation per the new California and New York City building codes.
