Anne Angeles Elected to Friends of Karen Board of Directors

Friends of Karen announced that Anne Angeles, a senior marketing executive who has developed strategic initiatives for building the American Express, Prudential Financial, and American International Group brands, has been elected to its Board of Directors.

North Salem, NY, October 03, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Friends of Karen has announced that Anne Angeles was elected to its Board of Directors.

Ms. Angeles is a marketing executive who has developed and implemented brand-building initiatives at major firms in the U.S. and abroad, including Prudential Financial, American Express, McCann-Erickson, and American International Group. She's also active in helping not-for-profits as a pro-bono marketing consultant with Taproot Foundation New York.

Friends of Karen provides vital, practical and comprehensive support, at no cost, to New York Tri-State families who are caring for a child battling cancer or another life-threatening illness, from diagnosis through treatment. Ms. Angeles was especially attracted to the holistic approach Friends of Karen takes towards helping a family, often for years.

“They do so much more than helping the sick child, they really keep the entire family intact despite the enormous hardships and pressures they have to endure,” Ms. Angeles says. “Friends of Karen has no peer when it comes to understanding and intimately caring for each family member. They really think of everything to get a family through this horrifying ordeal.”

“Anne’s marketing, branding and business talents will complement the skills already represented on the Board,” says Pamela Hervey, president of Friends of Karen’s Board of Directors. “Her broad experience with both corporations and non-profits will enable us to raise awareness of Friends of Karen’s mission and successes.”

Friends of Karen is a registered 501(c)(3) charity and the only organization in the New York Tri-State region that provides the emotional, financial and advocacy support that families caring for a child with a life-threatening illness so desperately need to cope during an unimaginably difficult time.
