Business Architecture Guild Releases a Jointly Developed Whitepaper by Members of BPM and Business Architecture Communities

The Business Architecture Guild is pleased to announce the release of a whitepaper titled “Business Architecture and BPM – Differentiation and Reconciliation.” This whitepaper was jointly developed by a team that included members of the Business Architecture and BPM communities, and then validated by a number of experts within the BPM community.

Soquel, CA, November 09, 2014 --(PR.com)-- One of the key issues facing practitioners today is how to reconcile business architecture concepts with related disciplines. One of these disciplines is Business Process Management (BPM). This newly published whitepaper provides a foundation for organizations to begin building linkages between business architecture and BPM, by defining and illuminating the differences and touch points between them.

The collaborative effort was a significant step towards bringing together the Business Architecture and BPM communities. Peter Fingar, an internationally recognized expert on business strategy, globalization and business process management, provided the foreword for this paper.

Substantive aspects of content from this whitepaper are also contained in the BIZBOK® Guide, Section 3.4 Business Architecture and Business Process Modeling and Management. Subsequent whitepapers will be written to discuss additional topics such as approaches to aligning business architecture and BPM as management disciplines.

This whitepaper is available on the Guild website in the Public Resources section.
