Detectamet Introduces Extreme Environment Fastening Systems

Detectamet’s Cable Ties give strong fastening in extreme environments. The 316 grade stainless steel is highly resistant to corrosion and chemicals.

York, United Kingdom, November 12, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Detectamet’s new Stainless Steel Cable Ties are designed for use in all areas and applications that need a strong and resilient fastening that is reliable and fire resistant. They can be used where they will be subject to extreme physical, chemical and heat stress. These characteristics make them very useful in the food industry especially in hot environments and in areas where rigorous cleaning regimes are applied.

They take advantage of a patented non-releasable locking feature and they are made from stainless steel 316. This makes them highly resistant to corrosion, chemicals and the weather. They perform in high temperature areas where they will not burn.

Detectamet also supplies sets of matching stainless steel wall fastenings to which the new clips can be attached and mounted on the wall, panels and other structures. The clips are quick and straightforward to install with a single fixing hole to take a 4mm, 5mm or 6mm fastening, and the slot will take an inserted stainless steel tie of up to 10mm wide.

The new fastening system’s resilience also makes them ideal for securing service lines and equipment that have to be installed in areas that are exposed to the weather. That is why they are used in a wide range of environments from the chemical industry to petroleum industries, mass transit, shipbuilding and mining industries. Stainless Steel Cable Ties are used in machine manufacturing and installation, apparatus construction and in the outside area of radio technology.

The new ties are a further expansion of Detectamet's growing range of stainless steel equipment for use in hygiene critical areas. For more information contact s.smith at detectamet.com
