Fairfield Harbour’s Harbour Pointe Golf Club Names Dan Argentieri as New General Manager

Local Boating and Golf Community’s Golf Club Promotes First Assistant Professional to General Manager.

New Bern, NC, November 20, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Fairfield Harbour, a residential boating and golf community located 15 minutes from historic New Bern, has announced that the community’s Harbour Pointe Golf Club has promoted Dan Argentieri to general manager. Argentieri, a Class A PGA Golf professional, will lead a staff of 10 employees to manage the resort-style 18 hole, par 72, 6,577-yard championship course. Argentieri previously served as first assistant professional at the golf club, a position he held since January 2014.

A native of Hornell, New York, Argentieri learned the game as a child from his grandfather, who started the first junior golf club in town. He earned a bachelor’s degree in business management and professional golf management at Clemson University, one of only 20 schools in the country accredited in the prestigious PGA Golf Management University Program. While in college, Argentieri interned at Webster Golf Club in Webster, New York; The Country Club of Virginia in Richmond, Virginia; and Maine Golf and Tennis Academy in North Belgrade, Maine.

After graduation, Argentieri started at Harbour Pointe as an intern in summer 2013, after which time he was hired full time. He is a resident of Fairfield Harbour.

Billy Casper Golf (BCG) manages Harbour Pointe Golf Club. In recent years, BCG representatives have made tremendous improvements to course conditions, including retrofitting the irrigation system, upgrading the irrigation pump stations, working on bunkers and renovating the clubhouse to serve as a central social gathering place for property owners, members and guests.
