Extended ECB Contract Enables Central Banks to Access SkySparc Services

For the third consecutive time, SkySparc has been selected to provide comprehensive consultancy services to the European Central Bank (ECB), extending its role in maintaining the bank’s Wallstreet Suite (WSS) treasury management system by four years.

Stockholm, Sweden, November 09, 2016 --(PR.com)-- The ECB’s decision to choose SkySparc to provide WSS consultancy services allows other Eurosystem central banks to contract the firm’s services under the same framework agreement, rather than conducting individual tenders.

SkySparc is one of the few consultancies selected to supply services across all four areas in which the ECB has tendered for third-party assistance: project management; testing services; functional consultancy; and development, technical and operational consultancy.

The ECB uses WSS to support the management of its foreign reserve assets and to conduct monetary policy operations. The system environment extends to all Euro-zone national central banks involved in managing the ECB’s foreign reserve assets. The majority of Eurosystem central banks use WSS as their treasury management system.

Thomas Bergqvist, Director, SkySparc, said: “The extension of our long-term relationship with the ECB makes it easier for other Eurosystem central banks to use SkySparc’s wide range of WSS consultancy services and underlines our decade-long track record as a trusted supplier in the central banking sector.”
