Houston, TX, March 04, 2006 --(PR.com)-- Southern Modular Industries, LP "SMI", has completed its plant certifications and is now fully approved and licensed as a manufacturer for the states of Texas, and Alabama. SMI launched the operation of their Texas facility in late November 2005, and was notified on February 24, 2006 of state approval for Texas and Alabama. SMI can now supply product to its dealer distributors in the states of Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Oklahoma and Arkansas.

SMI is planning on adding additional approvals for New Mexico and Florida this year in its ongoing effort to be the premier manufacturer of commercial modular product to the Gulf Coast and South Central markets.

Headquartered in Houston, Texas, SMI and has more than 100,000 Square Feet of manufacturing space dedicated to providing high quality commercial modular products to its distribution partners. SMI is a wholesale manufacturer that markets its buildings through a dealer network. SMI’s primary market segments are education, commercial, government, medical and other related custom modular markets. SMI’s structures are designed for either temporary or permanent use.
