Dr. Lauren Ozbolt Has Been Recognized as One of America’s Most Influential Adolescent Psychiatrists by the International Association of Who’s Who

Dr. Lauren Ozbolt of Los Angeles, is honored by the International Association of Who’s Who for her extensive contributions within the field of Adolescent Psychiatry.

Los Angeles, CA, August 18, 2019 --(PR.com)-- Having dedicated ten years to the healthcare industry, Dr. Ozbolt has worked exceptionally hard to cure mental illness with her private practice focusing on treatments for depression, anxiety and eating disorders.

Dr. Ozbolt attended the University of North Carolina at Charlotte where she graduated magna cum laude with her Bachelor’s Degree in Science. She subsequently went to the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where she received her MD and graduated Alpha Omega Alpha. Both her Residency in Psychiatry and Fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine have well-equipped her for her career in the medical profession. She even served as Chief Resident during her time, a testament to her prowess in the field. Alongside these qualifications she is Board Certified in child, adolescent and adult psychiatry. Her qualifications do not end there, as she is a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist (CEDS) by the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals (IAEPD).

Dr. Ozbolt had the privilege to be mentored by Dr. Joel Jahraus, MD, throughout her career and has refined her expertise in the evidence-based treatment of mood, anxiety and eating disorders. Being a respected name within the healthcare community, Dr. Ozbolt is a regular speaker and presenter at IAEDP Symposiums and has also been a witness in eating disorder cases. She is proud to always give the highest levels of care and compassion through her personalized care for each patient.

Dr. Ozbolt is extremely proud of her achievements to date; she was both founder and medical director of the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine Eating Disorders Program. In addition, she was also honored to uphold the position of medical director of Monte Nido and Affiliates.

Professional development is very important to Dr. Ozbolt; she is a member of a variety of organizations to continue her learning including The American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, The National Eating Disorders Association, The Alpha Omega Alpha Society, The American Psychiatric Association, The International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals, The Southern California Psychiatric Society and The Academy for Eating Disorders. This allows her to share her knowledge with emerging professionals. Dr. Ozbolt serves as a diplomat for the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and the American Board for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Furthermore, she is an esteemed Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association (FAPA).

She has been recognized in the field for her extensive contributions and has been named Top Psychiatrist by The Leading Physicians of the World. Furthermore, she has written articles for Psychiatric Annuals on the Neurobiology of Eating Disorders and presented at the Adolescent Psychiatry Research Symposium, also receiving the Clinical Scholar Award. The accolades continue with the receipt of the T.Byram Karasu Award in Psychotherapy and an American Medical Women’s Association Glasglow-Rubin Achievement Citation.

Outside of work, Dr. Ozbolt keeps busy with her work for the Oak House Ministry in Kyrgyzstan.
