ISEA Honors Abby Ferri, Innovative and Respected Safety Professional, with Distinguished Service Award

The International Safety Equipment Association (ISEA) will honor Abby Ferri, CSP, with the 2019 Robert B. Hurley Distinguished Service Award, at the association’s Award Dinner on Nov. 18 at the Ritz Carlton Pentagon City, Arlington, VA.

Arlington, VA, November 14, 2019 --(PR.com)-- The International Safety Equipment Association (ISEA) will honor Abby Ferri, CSP, with the 2019 Robert B. Hurley Distinguished Service Award, at the association’s Award Dinner on Nov. 18 at the Ritz Carlton Pentagon City, Arlington, VA.

“The Distinguished Service Award is reserved for an outstanding individual who has made significant contributions to the advancement and promotion of workplace safety and health,” stated Charles Johnson, President of ISEA. “Over her safety career, Abby Ferri has shown an unwavering commitment and deep passion for worker safety, and is known as a practical and creative safety professional, with innovative ways to communicate the importance of keeping workers safe.”

Abby Ferri is a Senior Safety Consultant at Merjent, Inc. headquartered in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She holds a Master’s Degree in Environmental Health and Safety, is an OSHA Outreach Trainer for Construction, and a Certified Safety Professional (CSP). She is responsible for risk management, safety policy development, safety and health training, and regulatory compliance for her clients in the construction, manufacturing, energy, beverage, hospitality, and retail industries throughout the United States and Canada.

In addition to providing services for clients, Ferri is an Adjunct Instructor in the Construction Management Program at Dunwoody College of Technology, President of the Northwest Chapter of the American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP), and Administrator of the Women in Safety Excellence common interest group of the ASSP.

ISEA established the Robert B. Hurley Distinguished Service Award in 2005 and presents it to an individual whose efforts have advanced and promoted workplace safety and health. ISEA’s Annual Meeting is the association’s largest national meeting, where leaders in design, manufacturing, testing and application of safety products converge to address issues affecting workplace safety.
