"Best Crisis Communications" "Best Websites" PRSA, 1999

PRSA award George McQuade both "Best Crisis Communications" and "Best Websites" awards for dissuading CBs 60 Minutes from doing a hit piece on the Housing Authority of the City of Los Angeles. Someone internally deleted the agency website, and McQuade started from scratch and rebuilt a new one over the following weekend, without anyone noticing. In fact he said, there were employees offering to write content on the "newly redesigned HACLA website."

Medal of Valor - California State Firefighters Assn., 1998

A medal of valor was awarded to VP George McQuade for rescuing the chief cardiovascular radiologist, UCLA Medical Center, from his burning vehicle after it crash through a street sign sheared off a fire hydrant and slammed into a tree head-on. The SUV burst into flames moments after McQuade pulled the Doctor of his smoking vehicle.

Hero Award - Los Angeles City Council, 1998

the full 15-member Los Angeles City Council reunited George McQuade and the doctor he rescue from a burning vehicle at LA City Hall to present a hero's award signed by every member of the LA City Council for going above and beyond the call of duty rescuing a doctor from his smoking SUV.

RTNA Golden Mike Awards 1989-1992 (LA Press Club Awards,too), 1992

Radio TV News Association award VP George McQuade Golden Mike awards for "Best News Writing and Newscasts" over a four year period.
Those same years he was also honored by the LA Press Club for "Best Newswriting" and "Best Newscasts."

American Bar Association - Judge Hettinger ", 1985

Vice President George McQuade of MAYO Communications received a national "Silver Gavel Award" from the American Bar Association for outstanding coverage of the reelection of "Judge Hettinger" in Yakima, WA in a bitter political race.
