The diminishing number of music and after-school programs offered by public and private schools over the past ten years has contributed to a steady and tragic increase in violence, drug abuse and teen pregnancy. There are over 360,000 single parents in Los Angeles County alone, in addition to many of families in which both parents work full-time, leaving hundreds of thousands of children under the age of fifteen to return home from school alone with no guidance. Law enforcement studies show that the peak after-school hours are when children are most likely to get into trouble, or become victims of crimes themselves. Affordable after-school and weekend/holiday break music programs offered at the M. Gray Music Academy surround our youth with music as an instrument of peace and a valuable and enriching way of filling the after school hours.
Tuition for a 8 week session is $480 for private lessons and $320 for group lessons. Through our PRODIGY PROGRAM, you will have the unique opportunity to forge a special bond with the young musician and make his or her dreams possible.
