Biography

Andrew Chung

Chung has been a technology investor and entrepreneur for over two decades. Prior to his involvement with 1955 Capital, he was a general partner at Khosla Ventures — a renowned venture capital firm with over $5 billion under management. That organization also held the distinction of having the largest sustainable technology venture portfolio in the world, and Chung was responsible for the management of over $500 million in assets.

Chung received his bachelor's degree in applied mathematics from Harvard University, where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa with honors. He received his master's degree in business administration from the Wharton School of Business during his time at the University of Pennsylvania. He has keynoted at the White House, the Asian Venture Capital Journal Forum, the Swiss Economic Forum and others during his career. He also advises both federal and state government officials on critical energy policy matters on a regular basis.
