NPSA Conference Features Renowned Business Ethics Expert

Marianne Jennings, a professor of legal and ethical studies in business at Arizona State University, will share wisdom for practical ethical issues at the 6th Annual NPSA Conference.

Kansas City, MO, September 03, 2008 --(PR.com)-- It's been more than six years since high-profile corporate scandals rocked Corporate America, yet there hasn't been much change in reducing the risk of unethical behavior at U.S. companies, according to the Ethics Resource Center's (ERC) National Business Ethics Survey.

"The good news is that the rate of misconduct is cut by three-fourths at companies with strong ethical cultures, and reporting is doubled at companies with comprehensive business ethics programs," said ERC President Patricia Harned. ERC helps organizations design and measure the strength of their culture and the effectiveness of ethics programs.

The National Portable Storage Association (NPSA) has a strict code of ethics for its members, and encourages containerized storage vendors to uphold the highest business standards. That's why the NPSA, a nonprofit membership association dedicated to the advancement of the portable storage industry, is offering a workshop on business ethics at its 6th Annual Conference and Exposition at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas from October 26-28.

Marianne Jennings, a professor of legal and ethical studies in business at Arizona State University, will offer her insights into business ethics and how to establish an ethics culture in your company.

Jennings is well-equipped to impart sound wisdom on the practical application of ethics. She served as director of the Joan and David Lincoln Center for Applied Ethics from 1995-1999. Jennings earned her undergraduate degree in finance and her J. D. from Brigham Young University. She has worked with the Federal Public Defender and U.S. Attorney in Nevada and has done consulting work for law firms, businesses and professional groups including Dial Corporation, Motorola, Southern California Edison, the Arizona Auditor General, the Cities of Phoenix, Mesa, and Tucson, the Institute of Internal Auditors, AIMR, Motorola, Hy-Vee Foods, IBM, Bell Helicopter, Amgen, and VIAD.
