Seda France Home Fragrances Expands Operations, Bucks Economic Downturn

Austin, TX, October 19, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Seda France Home Fragrances of Austin is expanding its operations with a 5% increase in workforce and the addition of 18,000 square feet of office, warehouse and production space to create and ship even more of their candles, diffusers and other fragrance products known for their lavish “no wrapping paper needed” gift packaging.

CEO and founder, Robert Hernandez, says, “We have been really fortunate to see continued growth and demand from both retailers and consumers – despite any economic naysaying – and that, of course, is fueling this expansion in our operations. Plus, we’re confident the economy will turn around soon, so we’re looking to the future with this investment.”

Hernandez points to Seda France products as “affordable luxuries in a time when many bigger ‘splurges’ may be out of the question” as one of the reasons for the company’s increased production and sales. A recent survey by HGTV and Home Accents Today seems to support that notion, with 80% of almost 3,500 consumers questioned saying they “still plan to spend some money” on their homes this year and 51% looking for items that are “not so expensive they will feel guilty.”

“Instead of a bouquet of flowers that lasts a few days or a pricey bottle of perfume, our customers know we’ll deliver the same high quality scents for less money, and our products will last much, much longer,” adds Hernandez.

Seda France products are available at sedafrance.com and at nearly 2,000 fine retailers nationwide and many more internationally. Seda France produces numerous luxury goods and is a leading name in the home fragrance/candle market. Collections include Édition Limitée, Bon Chic and the original Classic Toile collection – all with different twists on the sumptuous packaging for which the company is known. This Austin, Texas-based manufacturer’s reputation has earned them a loyal following of both customers and retailers throughout North America, Europe, and Asia.
