Atlanta, GA, November 15, 2008 --(PR.com)-- American-Israel Chamber of Commerce Assists in Israel-based Company’s Decision.

MobiMate Ltd., a privately-held developer of award-winning mobile travel software based in Lod, Israel, along with its U.S.-based subsidiary WorldMate, Inc., has announced it will undergo a re-organization and establish its new corporate headquarters in Atlanta. The American-Israel Chamber of Commerce (AICC) worked closely with MobiMate for several years on this location decision, providing support to them as it has to many of the over 45 Israeli companies that have established U.S. or regional operations in the metropolitan area.

“This is great news. I have been a subscriber for over a year now and am a Gold member of the WorldMate service,” said Ken Stewart, Commissioner of the Georgia Department of Economic Development, whose busy schedule promoting the state demands his frequent travel throughout the world.

According to company officials, the decision to establish the corporate headquarters in the U.S. is expected to advance WorldMate as the leading mobile travel service. With a stronger foothold here, WorldMate is better positioned to capitalize on the demand for innovative mobile services in this market and also provide local support for their growing base of members in the U.S.

“Our Israel-based parent company has maintained a great relationship with the American-Israel Chamber of Commerce over the years, and our board chairman, Eli Barak, has been an active member of the organization. With AICC’s impressive roster of successful Israeli companies that it supports in the Atlanta area, choosing to open our office in this city seemed a natural fit,” said MobiMate CEO, Nadav Gur.

WorldMate, Inc. has over 1.5 million active customers worldwide and recently secured $8 million in a funding round led by the BlackBerry Partners Fund, joining other notable investors including Motorola Ventures and several world-renowned angel investors who previously invested through its parent company. WorldMate Live™, the company’s free application, serves as a personal travel companion that allows frequent travelers to manage their entire itinerary – flights, hotels, meetings and ground transportation – all within a single service, accessible any time from a mobile device or computer.

“We’re thrilled to welcome WorldMate to our growing family of Israeli companies that use Atlanta as their U.S. gateway. Their decision is strong testimony to the area’s reputation as a mobile technology center, and we look forward to helping the company in this important phase of its growth,” said Tom Glaser, AICC President.

Glaser noted that MobiMate was the featured presenting company at the AICC’s annual Professional Seminar in 2004.
