Church Intruder Arrested Due to Detection by Sonitrol Pacific

Lynnwood, WA, December 12, 2008 --(PR.com)-- A Sonitrol Pacific operator followed procedures to the letter when she received an alarm from Open Door Baptist Church in Lynnwood and police took one person into custody.

Operator Minta Christopherson received a signal activation from the sanctuary door of Open Door Baptist Church and, per a request from church officials, called a representative from the church. When the church employee arrived, the lights were on in the church’s sanctuary. He opened the door and saw someone sitting in the front pew. The unknown man refused to leave and the church employee asked Christopherson to call police.

Sheriff’s deputies took the man into custody for trespassing.

Thanks to the quick response, no damage was done to the church and nothing was taken.
