Sleepwarehouse.com announces Innovative New Memory Foam Mattress

Salt Lake City, UT, April 25, 2005 --(PR.com)-- Sleepwarehouse.com, a manufacturer’s direct retail website, adds an innovative new memory foam product line designed to compete with traditional and high-end mattresses.

Sleepwarehouse.com launched, in the Summer of 2004, with the goal of providing consumers the lowest possible prices on high quality memory foam mattress pads and pillows, has been successful by focusing on the product rather than association with costly brand name markups, and using a low margin model that eliminates traditional middlemen and retailer margin requirements. After a successful launch with memory foam products, Sleepwarehouse added a line of anatomic mattress pads in the fall of 2004, and now intends to compete with some of the leading mattress retailers with the new mattress product.

The new mattress, the NuSleep 10-inch Memory Foam Mattress, featuring Select Component Technology, was designed with several goals in mind including lower retail price, ability to ship with standard carriers, and providing customizable support for the consumer. Perhaps the most innovative design elements include the Select Component Technology that allows the consumer to select between medium and firm support, and then the removable and washable mattress cover. Andrew Rappl, the managing partner for Andrews Marketing Partners (AMP), commented on the innovative design, “The goal of delivering a Queen sized memory foam mattress for under $500 was our first goal, but also the ability to deliver custom support, and a mattress surface that is washable, is something we are proud of. To top it off, the fact that we were able to come up with a design that could ship with Federal Express or DHL, instead of having the consumer coordinate with a freight company or even a traditional furniture store delivery is another victory.”

Rappl was quick to note that the development of the new mattress was hardly a solo effort by Sleep Warehouse, and said, “the development was a collaborative process directed by AMP, but included input from the Sleepwarehouse design team, ongoing consumer feedback, multiple manufacturing partners, and then included the use the best raw materials from Foamex International to deliver a innovative and quality product that is made in USA.”
