Sturges Manufacturing Company Launches New Customer Focused Website

Sturges Manufacturing, a manufacturer of custom standard and engineered webbing and straps, launches a newly redesigned website with improved overall user experience and customer focus.

Utica, NY, January 01, 2009 --( Sturges Manufacturing Company, a maker of webbing and strap assemblies to customer specifications for over 100 years, has launched a completely redesigned web site. “The purpose of the new site is to more precisely represent the current product line of engineered narrow fabrics and straps, in addition to providing information on the standard products we continue to produce” states Tyler Griffith, Vice President – Market Development. The site directs the viewer to specific products in a minimal number of clicks and presents visuals of webbings using performance yarns such as Kevlar®, Nomex® and Dyneema®. The new site emphasizes Sturges’ ability to work directly with customers in order to deliver the right product for each customer’s specific needs.

The new interactive site includes a “Why Sturges” sidebar on every page to highlight Sturges’ customized, effective solutions for specific applications. Additionally, a slow motion video showing an actual drop test of Sturges’ patent pending energy absorbing webbing provides the visitor with some idea of the testing facilities employed for product development and verification. The site has also been optimized to help increase the quality and volume of traffic that visits the Sturges Manufacturing site. The redesign was a collaborative project with Daly Communications Group, of Manlius. The site went live on December 15, 2008 and you can check it out at
