Door Left Unlocked, Sonitrol Pacific Still Detects Trespasser

Seattle, WA, January 15, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Despite a door being left unlocked, Sonitrol Pacific’s security system detected an intruder at Evergreen Treatment Center and sent Seattle Police to arrest one January 11.

Award winning Operator Michael Young received the system activation signals from the facility and immediately called Puget Sound Security to investigate.

Young also contacted a representative from Evergreen Treatment to keep him informed of unfolding events. The center’s representative drove to the facility, saw a suspicious car in the parking lot and lights on inside the building that shouldn’t be. He asked Young to call police.

Police arrived at the center in about five minutes and found a man inside. They took him into custody.

According to police, the man got in through an unlocked door. No damage was done to the center and nothing was taken.
