Although better positioned than most industries, Healthcare is not immune to the woes which are plaguing the rest of the economy. Healthcare Finance Executives face many challenges in '09 including: bad debt, shrinking charity care, federal reimbursement shortfalls, and expense management issues. Many are hopeful that a new president and administration will make changes to help alleviate these fiscal maladies though all are preparing for the worst.

The Knowledge Congress has assembled a panel of key thought leaders and experts to help Healthcare professionals cope with all of these issues. About Laura Gabrysch

Laura Gabrysch's practice encompasses a wide variety of matters related to Federal and local taxation of corporations, partnerships, limited liability companies, and tax-exempt organizations. Laura's experience includes representing entities with respect to formation and operations, mergers and acquisitions, tax-free reorganizations, sales of businesses, deferred compensation, employment taxes, and general tax matters.

Additionally, Laura has substantial experience in advising and representing tax-exempt organizations on all matters related to tax-exempt status. This experience includes: conducting detailed tax compliance reviews; applying for and obtaining Federal and local tax-exempt status; structuring mergers, acquisitions, and other transactions; and advising clients with respect to governance, board fiduciary duties, joint ventures, physician and executive compensation, excess benefit transactions, tax-exempt bonds, state and local taxation, and taxation of related and unrelated income.
