Grande Communications Offers Free Classes on Digital Television Conversion

Education Classes Open to the Public to Answer Questions on Digital Conversion.

Waco, TX, January 18, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Grande Communications will offer educational classes for consumers seeking information about the Digital Television (DTV) conversion scheduled to take place on February 17, 2009 when by law television stations nationwide will broadcast exclusively in a digital format. The first class will be held on February 3 at 4:00 pm at the Grande Waco office, 7200 Imperial Drive. The classes are free and open to the public.

During the hour-long session, Grande employees will provide an overview of how the conversion will affect television viewers and answer individual consumer questions. Subjects will include “How will the conversion affect my TV?”, “Will I need new equipment?” as well as “DTV doesn’t equal HDTV.”

“At Grande, listening to and responding to our customers is a priority,” said Grande Waco General Manager Matt Rohre. “The issue of the digital conversion is on the minds of many residents of Waco particularly older adults. Despite the attention in the media, consumers still want answers to their specific concerns. We at Grande are pleased to step forward with these free education sessions to give consumers the detailed information they want and to answer their individual questions. At Grande, our focus is delivering customer service.”

Consumers interested in attending the classes can register for the class by calling (254) 235-2010 during normal business hours, Monday through Friday. Both Grande customers and non-customers are welcome to register.
