When NSK was selected as one of Global 100's Most Sustainable Corporations, they decided to share the news with the help of thier marketing and communications partner, 5th Business. Since the New Year, 5th Business, located in Toronto, has been working with ABU, NPA, CNSK, and IBU to help increase their brand profile, with a focus on select industry verticals.
NSK's status as a Global 100 company, as well as coverage of their sponsorship of Michigan International Speedway's Salute to Military Families, were featured stories on a large digital screen in Times Square. Multiple times per day, from June 20 to June 26, NSK graced the 7,400 square foot Reuters billboard, which is seen by an estimated 1.5 million people passing through Times Square each day. NSK's achievements were also published in the online editions of both Forbes and USA Today as well as industry specific publications including the Canadian Mining Journal and MRO's online magazine.
This media relations initiative is a small piece of a larger strategy being developed by NSK with 5th Business. Their goal is to grow business in the Americas and position NSK and their great attributes as the preferred brand of the motion control industry. The plan includes campaign activities centered on their new tagline, Think NSK, in addition to media relations, direct marketing and Internet initiatives.
