‘Rummaging’ Tips Off Sonitrol Pacific Operator

Lakewood, WA, March 05, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Sonitrol Pacific audio sensors captured rummaging sounds at Medical Imaging NW in Lakewood, Wash. and sent sheriff’s deputies to arrest one March 1.

Michael Young, award winning Sonitrol Pacific operator, received an activation from Medical Imaging NW’s security system and listened to real-time audio to verify the alarm. He heard “rummaging” sounds and immediately called sheriff’s deputies. Young continued to monitor the system while officers were en route and heard noises of ongoing movement and rummaging.

Deputies arrived within ten minutes of Young’s call; however, they couldn’t get inside the multi-tenant building. Young called a representative from Medical Imaging NW to give officers access to the facility.

Deputies entered the building with a police dog and located one individual. The suspect was taken into custody.
