‘Beer Run’ Ends in Arrest After Detection by Sonitrol Pacific

Beaverton, OR, March 20, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Sheriff’s deputies arrested a man bleeding and in possession of illegally obtained beer outside a Beaverton food mart after Sonitrol Pacific detected suspicious activity at the store March 14.

Expert Operator Michael Young received the alarm activation from Quick Stop Mini Mart’s Sonitrol Pacific security system and called deputies. Officers arrived within five minutes and found a man just outside the store bleeding and carrying beer. They took him into custody.

According to officers, the man broke a window in order to get inside the store and grab beer, but cut himself in the process. The fast response by Young and the deputies ensured the man was taken into custody.
