ZE PowerGroup's ZEMA is Prepared for MRTU Launch

Richmond, Canada, March 28, 2009 --(PR.com)-- MRTU is the Market Redesign and Technology Upgrade program being developed by the California Independent System Operator (CAISO) intended to provide a more reliable, transparent and efficient power grid. The March 31, 2009 go-live date is soon approaching and with it comes a series of new data reports to understand and a data management task like no other.

ZE PowerGroup®, the developers of the ZEMA™ Data Management and Analysis Suite, has been actively following the CAISO MRTU initiative from inception, iteratively integrating the market changes into ZEMA. Our clients have been visualizing and collecting MRTU data with ZEMA since Q3 2007 allowing them to understand the complexity and volume of the data first hand; for ZEMA Clients, MRTU go-live will yield no surprises.

ZE PowerGroup not only provides the tools to automate the collection of MRTU market reports, visualize and analyze the information, but also possesses the experience necessary to help our client’s overcome the challenges of managing the increased volume of information. MRTU’s new market structure, the move to Locational Marginal Pricing (LMP) based pricing, and the creation of a true Day-Ahead market have substantially increased the data management requirements. ZE PowerGroup understands how this information will be used and how it can be optimized and integrated into back to front office infrastructure within ZEMA.

ZEMA is an Enterprise Data Management (EDM) solution which provides timely market data in a centralized on-site database directly from the source – as soon as it has been published by the source. Information can be accessed and analyzed through their powerful analytic tools, web services or directly from the open architecture database. There are many methods of feeding your users or downstream systems with MRTU data, collected in real-time available through ZEMA.

To complement the toolset, ZE PowerGroup have near complete market data coverage across all energy and peripheral markets in North America including ISOs, brokers, exchanges and custom product providers. Though heavily focused towards energy related data, ZEMA can integrate and catalog any type of information regardless of how it is made available or the format it is published in. ZEMA is truly data agnostic – financial, weather, hydrology, meter, internally generated curves all are available to be analyzed together from a single point of access – ZEMA.
