Leader in XRF Service Offers New XRF Analyzer Protection Plans

A leader in service and support of all x-ray fluorescence (XRF) analyzer brands, Eastern Applied Research, has formally announced two protection plans to help companies budget more efficiently.

Buffalo, NY, April 03, 2009 --(PR.com)-- In today’s economic climate, many companies that require x-ray fluorescence (XRF) technology for any number of applications are looking to extend the life of current XRF Analyzers rather than invest in new instrumentation. For those companies, Eastern Applied Research, Inc., a leader in XRF service and support, offers two types of XRF Protection Plans that cover repair costs and more.

The protection plans offered by Eastern Applied were developed for their customers as a way to more efficiently budget spending on their current XRF systems; including routine services and repair service. Known as Customer Service Agreements (CSA’s), plans provide the yearly certification and safety radiation survey (Eastern Applied is Accredited to ISO/IEC 17025) and protect customers from unplanned and unbudgeted repairs by covering all labor/evaluation service costs and either a portion or all component costs.

With the cost of XRF components ranging from a few hundred to a few thousand dollars both major and minor repairs can be difficult for companies to handle when its not budgeted. A Full CSA offered by Eastern Applied will cover 100% of any components required during the life of an agreement and includes two service visits during a one year plan. The newest protection plan, the 50/50 CSA, provides relief by covering 50% of any component cost and the certification service. The 50/50 CSA is offered at a lower initial cost and is popular for many smaller organizations that need protection but still have to pay attention to limited budgets.

“We have seen many companies require unexpected repairs for an XRF Instrument that is critical to their business” stated Shannon Carder, Service Manager for Eastern Applied Research. “While we have gained a reputation for offering the lowest priced services available, there is little that can be done for some repairs – unless the customer looks ahead and protects themselves with an XRF Protection Plan from Eastern Applied.”

For over thirty years, Eastern Applied Research has provided complete solutions for companies looking for knowledgeable XRF Sales, Service and Support. In addition to onsite certification and repair services, the company offers third-party testing for lead content and an accredited calibration standards laboratory. They also offer a variety of desktop and handheld XRF analyzers. Additional information can be found on-line at www.easternapplied.com or by calling 716-625-8311.
