Austrian Love Drink May Liven-Up The Libido

Controversial ‘Viagra-Pop’ Makes Its U.S. Debut

New York, NY, May 30, 2005 --( A unique premium adult beverage imported from Austria, the birthplace of Arnold Schwarzenegger, a former bodybuilder and now Governor of California and like the “Terminator,” it is not without some controversy. The testosterone charged sex drink is called Turn On™ love drink, and is considered a highly effective anti-impotency remedy. Like its Austrian-made cousin Red Bull, Turn On is banned in some European countries including France, due to its high taurine and caffeine content. However, unlike Red Bull energy drink, asking for Turn On straight up may just pump you up. Yes, Turn On may hold the promise of great sex, its main ingredient happens to be Schizandra, an herb native to China and used for centuries primarily for its aphrodisiac effect. In addition, Turn On contains Guaraná (Paullinia cupana), a South American berry that’s reputed to be a powerful aphrodisiac that is also effective against mental and physical fatigue. Guaraná owes its stimulating virtue to an alkaloid (guaranin) that is chemically allied to caffeine. Turn On also contains the amino acid Taurine, which excites the nitric oxide pathway, a key signaling molecule for male erection and female arousal.

“New studies on impotency have helped change the thinking about the most common causes of sexual dysfunction. As recent as the last decade many physicians felt that most erection failures were psychological in nature. Most experts now believe that 80-90% of impotency is related to organic or physical causes. Viagra (Sildenafil citrate) works fine from a functionality standpoint, but does not necessarily increase desire and/or pleasure,” says Howard R. Hersh, a former Seagram executive and now President of the New York based beverage start-up Turn On Beverages, Inc., “A strong libido and sex-drive is an important part of a man's self-confidence, it seems many men are paying just about any price to achieve it.” says Hersh. “Turn On may be the answer for both men and women. This smooth adult beverage with a superb and indescribable pleasing taste is formulated in a special way to increase sexual energy and desire while heightening your senses and intensifying your pleasure.” explains Hersh.

“With an authentic libido enhancing adult drink from a taste, ingredients and nutraceutical standpoint, this Alpine aphrodisiac is expected to attract consumers away from popular energy drink cocktails like Red Bull and Absolut, who may be looking for a more romantic mixed drink, perhaps a sexy ‘Absolut Turn On’ cocktail would do the trick.” says Richard H. Davis, President of Beverage Marketing USA, Inc., “Scientific support for the benefits of Turn On’s key ingredients schizandra and guaraná has been well documented in both men and women. Turn On is not going to replace Viagra, but as an herbal nutraceutical beverage it holds the promise of more than just refreshment.” joked Davis.

The company is currently finalizing marketing and distribution plans for the product launch. For more information visit their website at
