Sonitrol Pacific Client Can "Rest at Night" After Audio Detection Leads to Arrest of Vandals

Aloha, OR, May 02, 2009 --(PR.com)-- One of the owners of an Aloha business said she can “rest at night” after deputies arrested three people suspected of vandalizing their facility April 29.

Sonitrol Pacific Operator Kris Etheridge received an impact-activated audio alarm from Elmer Setniker Auto about 4:40 a.m. She listened to real-time audio from the shop, heard glass breaking and called the Washington County Sheriff’s Department.

Officers arrived at the business within minutes and police dogs tracked down three suspects. All three were taken into custody.

According to Mrs. Setniker the vandals broke several windows and tried to pry open a door, destroying a newly installed door lock. A few nights prior to this incident, someone vandalized their building’s exterior with graffiti. Mrs. Setniker expressed being “so happy” the suspects were caught, because now she can rest at night and not worry about more vandalism.
