Todays-Woman.net a supportive online community for men and women over 18 opened it's doors Sept 19th 2002. The Founder and CEO of todays-woman.net is Rose DesRochers who resides in Belleville Ont Canada with her husband Shawn DesRochers webmaster of Todays-Woman and CEO of invision-graphics.com

Todays Woman with 684 members is a community that is made up of those looking to be published, hobby writers, published authors & publishers themselves. The community is a wonderful one to be apart of.

Todays-Woman.net has a full online forum with over 56 communities built inside of it. They have writing lessons, a full directory of links to literacy resources, famous poets, online book store , book reviews and over 150 calls for submissions to help writers get published , plus many more features. Though the main focus of Todays-Woman at one time was a poetry community they now cater to authors of short stories, song writers and web columnist. Rose DesRochers says, "We have really opened our doors and broaden our selves to more than just poetry."

They have weekly writing contest that sparks members creativity and they examine different styles of writing. Rose says that she feels Todays-Woman is a wonderful learning resource for writers.

Todays-Woman also does personal interviews. Along with Rose and interviewer Janice Eakle they have interviewed such big names as artists Phil Roberts and Jonathon Earl Browser. Country singer Andrew Dean, Children's author Robert Munsch, nationally recognized artist and designer of Caitlin Productions Ken Vrana, comedians Mark Eddie and Melissa Fine.

Over the last two years Todays-Woman has been one of the most visited writing communities on the internet. Ranked 5/10 by Google, they continue to be the primary resource for writers, receiving an average of 7,197 to 10,276 hits a day.

The extensive developing of Todays-Woman.net has been rewarded with rave initial reviews. Alberto O. Cappas, Publisher of The New Tomorrow Newspaper ran a story in their Nov 2004 newspaper and Rose has appeared on Belleville Ontario's Mix97 radio station discussing Todays-Woman.
