San Diego, CA, May 09, 2009 --(PR.com
)-- Cleanology, one of San Diego’s premier cleaning services, announced today that the Small Business Administration’s San Diego District has named its founder and owner, Christine McDannell, as the 2009 Small Business Person of the Year. The award will be presented at the annual Small Business Week Awards Banquet, co-hosted by the SBA and San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce, on May 27.
“It’s a tremendous honor for me to receive this recognition from the SBA,” McDannell said. “We’ve worked hard at Cleanology to establish the company as an impeccable, trustworthy, green cleaning service, and winning this award goes a long way to validate our efforts.”
Since 2004, Cleanology’s revenue has increased tenfold, as word has spread of its philosophy to create healthy and happy homes throughout San Diego County by not just cleaning, but sanitizing and disinfecting as well. Cleanology also believes in giving back, so it’s active in the Cleaning for a Reason Foundation, which provides housecleaning services for women with cancer.
In addition to being Cleanology’s passionate owner, McDannell also serves on the Board of Directors of the Association of Residential Cleaning Services International (ARCSI), the residential cleaning industry’s only trade association. She’s also member of the San Diego chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO).
