Two on Roof of School Arrested After Sonitrol Pacific Detects

Granite Falls, WA, May 20, 2009 --(PR.com)-- The Sonitrol Pacific security system detected activity on the roof of a Washington school and police arrested two suspected trespassers May 16.

Sonitrol Pacific Operator Kris Etheridge received an alarm activation from the roof of the school and dispatched police.

While officers were en route, Etheridge called a representative from the school to let him know what was going on. He believed it was a false activation and asked Etheridge to cancel the dispatch.

Etheridge immediately called the police department. However, police responded so quickly to her initial call, they were on site and arrested two suspects before she could cancel the dispatch.

The two suspects told officers they were just on the roof to talk. The Sonitrol Pacific system detected the activity despite them never going inside.
