Sonitrol Pacific Perimeter Security Leads to Mid-Toss Arrest of Suspect

Oregon City, OR, May 20, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Police caught a suspected burglar “throwing items over the fence” of the maintenance facility of an Oregon school district after the Sonitrol Pacific security system detected suspicious activity May 15.

Sonitrol Pacific Operator Michael Young received activations of the facility’s fence system and, per the district’s request, called a representative from the school. The representative asked Young to call police.

Officers responded quickly to the call from Sonitrol Pacific and located a woman tossing property to people on the other side. Police arrested the suspected burglar and expect she will lead them to the accomplices.

Fast response by Young and police to the Sonitrol Pacific security system ensured minimal loss.

“Don’t think they really got away with anything since the police showed up and they had to run,” said a representative from the school district.

This particular site previously suffered a burglary and police think the same people are responsible for both events.
