Harvard Alumni Develop Innovative Personal Training Service

A group of Harvard College Alumni has developed an on-line training solution. The personally-tailored workouts on their website HDO Training combine the former Ivy League athletes’ experience with the training knowledge of several Elite Personal Trainers and Coaches. In their Cambridge, Massachusetts Office, the HDO Training Team prides itself on its ability to create workouts that meet the individual goals of their worldwide clients.

Cambridge, MA, June 07, 2005 --(PR.com)-- Alasdair McLean-Foreman is the founder of HDO Training. The Harvard Track and Field Captain, he has also raced the 800m event as a member of the British National Track and Field Team. “As a competitive athlete, I have found it only fitting to taking my greatest passion – training – to a new level. My colleagues and I are very excited about helping others in their training. We certainly realize the benefits and importance of an effective, goal-oriented workout routine.”

HDO Training is an on-line training log, as well as an intelligent personal trainer. From the user’s training profile and preferences, the training program generates a personally tailored workout schedule. Workouts incorporate a variety of strength and cardiovascular exercises, and use previous workout data to build subsequent workouts.

Edie Hoffstatter, a 52 year-old mother of two has been using HDO Training for almost half a year, and has been delighted with the progress the program has helped her make. She finds her on-line personal trainer to keep her motivated and focused on her training. “When you’re working out on your own, it’s all too easy to slack off and decide to skip a few workouts here and there. My personal trainer makes me excited about completing every workout, and gives me such a nice variety of exercises to do that I’m no longer bored with my training.” The service has helped her lose and keep off 25 pounds, and feel healthier altogether.

Continually making additions to their software, the HDO Training team has recently added a complimentary Nutrition Planner to its Training program. The nutrition analysis tool allows its users to analyze their diets and incorporate their favorite meals and snacks into an ideal diet planner.

The young team has now decided to take its software to a new level, by licensing the application to several other businesses and individuals. Perhaps most impressively, one of the websites that they’ve created is now owned and maintained by Olympic Track and Field Gold Medalist Jason Gardener. Customers of his training website can follow workout routines created by Jason Gardener himself.

While most of their former classmates are busy pursuing careers is in Finance, Medicine and Law, these Harvard Alumni have taken a different route.
