New Business Networking Concept Comes to Nottingham

New East Midlands Networking Group Will Help Businesses Combat Recession.

Nottingham, United Kingdom, June 21, 2009 --( An entirely new concept in networking which has generated tens of millions of pounds worth of business for entrepreneurs in other parts of the country is to be launched in Nottingham next month.

The Business Network Nottingham will throw open its doors to potential new members at its inaugural meeting on Wednesday July 15th at the city’s Belfry Hotel where business owners from throughout the region can experience the concept first hand.

Peter Motley, the man behind the new enterprise, yesterday said he was convinced that businesses across Nottingham and the East Midlands would snap-up the opportunity to build new contacts and allies which would ultimately lead to new opportunities.

“The Business Network model has worked exceptionally well in other parts of the country over the past 15 years,” added Peter. “Now we are bringing that tried and tested formula to Nottingham and those I have spoken to cannot wait.

“The current economic slowdown has affected a great many businesses. Entrepreneurs are more determined than ever to fight back, win new business and get back to better trading conditions as quickly as possible.

“The Business Network will help them achieve that goal via our monthly luncheons which will bring together senior decision makers to promote their businesses and expand their network of local and regional resources in dynamic and structured two hour session.

Peter, who with his wife Sue, runs the Business Network Nottingham from his Ashbourne, Derbyshire office, has launched the new project after more than 30 years in sales and marketing.

He started his career in the automotive industry before developing his marketing expertise in various roles with BT over two decades. Most recently he has been involved with a major marketing consultancy.

“However, I have been a committed networker for many years,” added Peter. “As a member of one of the most successful networking groups in the UK, The Business Network South Manchester, I witnessed the huge benefits of being part of a truly professional networking group that is pro-active in building alliances between individuals in the business world.

“So when the opportunity to run my own network came up I jumped at the chance and chose to launch in Nottingham, a city I know well and one which has never had the benefit of a unique organisation like this.”

Doors open to Nottingham’s first Business Network meeting at 11.45 am. Visitors will be able to enjoy an open networking session, after registration, before sitting down to a two course lunch. The meeting is due to finish by 2.30pm.

Visitors can also register for a free morning seminar by Britain’s leading networking guru Will Kintish, who will guide them through the basics of successful networking.

A number of businesses across the city have already registered to attend the inaugural meeting and Peter is convinced the Business Network Nottingham will become a key part of the city’s business scene.

“I am looking forward to welcoming businessmen and women from all sectors to the Business Network Nottingham because I know many of them will become trusted friends,” said Peter.
