Suspects Arrested from School Roof, Again, Due to Sonitrol Pacific Detection

Granite Falls, WA, June 24, 2009 --(PR.com)-- For the third time this year, deputies detained someone on the roof of this Washington school after a Sonitrol Pacific detection June 17.

Sonitrol Pacific Operator Kris Etheridge received an alarm from the school’s roof pad, but only heard the HVAC from the live audio sensors. Despite that, Etheridge’s experience as an operator told her something was amiss and she called sheriff’s deputies.

Officers responded quickly and located one juvenile on the school’s roof. The deputies believe a second person was with the person they caught, but ran away. The juvenile was taken into custody and later released to his parents.

Deputies took two people into custody at this school on February 2 and two more on May 16. All set off Sonitrol Pacific’s security system while on the school’s roof and all were caught before getting inside the school.
