Sunreef Brings Two New Yacht Models to the Cannes International Boat Show and Announces Shipyard Development News

Sunreef Yachts is delighted to announce its increased presence at this year's edition of the Cannes International Boat Show in September 2009. The company will exhibit three yachts both sail and power, two of which are new yacht models.

Gdansk, Poland, June 27, 2009 --(PR.com)-- For a brief description of the three exhibited yachts, see below.

The 70 Sunreef Power Sea Bass – Worldwide Premiere - is the second hull of this model but one which remarkably differs from her predecessor, the Jambo. The mould has been slightly changed and the flybridge has been laid out as in luxury charter superyachts with jacuzzi, sun pad, jet ski with crane, barbecue, small bar, helm station and dining table with comfortable seating and a hydraulically operated diving board off the aft end of the flybridge. Sea Bass is a semi-owner version with 2 equal master cabins with private en-suite bathrooms, located in the forward section of the boat for great sea views. Two luxury mid-ship cabins (Port & Starboard) also with en-suite bathrooms featuring large picture windows on the hulls. The yacht is custom finished in modern and minimalist design combining dark wenge with Finnish birch and silver grey alcantara seating. Powered by twin Caterpillar 873 HP motors, the boat displays excellent cruising performance with 30 knots maximum speed.

The Sunreef 70 Sailing SEAZEN II – European Premiere - is the first hull of the new sailing yacht model launched in late October 2008. Her exterior profile by Sunreef’s own in-house design team is smooth and elegant while being highly aerodynamic and streamlined with purpose-built recreational space perfect for chartering. The yacht is laid out in semi-owner luxury charter version with four double cabins and separate crew quarters. The Owner of SEAZEN II has chosen a Japanese style below with typical simplicity and minimalism in brown and cream with touches of muffled red. Structural geometry is enhanced in this these luxurious yet minimalistic interiors with Tatami mats and decorative elements imitating Shoji screens and sliding doors, all accentuated by the horizontal arrangement of low-level tables and bar, surrounded by cushions in wooden frames and simple platform beds.

Sunreef 62 TAHAA II is the most famous Sunreef catamaran to date with over 30 units sold to date. The TAHAA II was launched in April 2009. She is laid out in a charter version with four double cabins and bunk beds for children, finished in extravagant design combining white furnishings complemented by seamless elements in contrasting, vibrant colours: orange in the saloon, and red, green, yellow and grey, respectively, in each cabin. This yacht model is ideal for charters or for safe and comfortable family travelling around the world.

All three yachts are available for charter via Sunreef Yachts Charter.

“This new in-house service has been tailored in response to frequent enquiries from design studios as well as individual clients seeking a professional and experienced shipyard to perform their custom-made projects in advanced composite materials or aluminium using innovative production techniques, carried out by an experienced workforce – all at a very competitive price,” explains Nicolas Lapp, CYS Intl. President.

With over 35 yachts launched to date and another 8 under construction, Sunreef Yachts has proven its advanced skills in yacht building and high-class exterior and interior finish.

”We are looking forward to cooperating with all design studios and naval architects alike to be able to cater for the custom-designed projects of their Clients,” adds Lapp.

2. Creation of the new brand of cruising motor yachts – Blue Reef Yachts.

This product is the result of cooperation between Sunreef Yachts and the French design studio CDR Yachting composed of Pierre Couach, former marketing director at the Couach shipyard, Vincent Duchatelet, naval architect and Franck Reynaud, exterior and interior designer, all possessing a wealth of experience in luxury medium-sized yacht design and sales.

Blue Reef Yachts is a range of motor yachts for demanding clients that have a passion for boating and discovering the treasures of the sea aboard their own never-failing, mid-sized yacht with practical design and advanced technical solutions. The Blue Reef is an alternative to over-sized yacht gadgets with low cruising performance at bigger range. With the combination of comfort, excellent performance at cruising speeds of 20 knots and a space-saving philosophy, the Blue Reef will be the perfect yacht to snugly fit into marinas in the Mediterranean or any other sea with limited space in ports which remain inaccessible for large superyachts. The first yacht in the new range currently under development is the Blue Reef 85' due to be launched in winter 2010.
