Intertek Announces New White Paper: Eco-Design Directive (EuP): Analysis of the Implementing Measures - Non-Directional Household Lamps and Street & Office Lighting

New publication outlines requirements of the EuP Lighting Implementing Measures (IMs), including products affected and deadlines for implementation

Chicago, IL, July 18, 2009 --( Intertek (LSE: ITRK), a global leader in testing, inspection and certification services, has announced the availability of a new white paper titled: Eco-Design Directive (EuP): Analysis of the Implementing Measures - Non-directional Household Lamps and Street & Office Lighting.

On March 24th the European Union (EU) commission adopted the implementing measures for non-directional household lamps and street & office lighting. According to the regulation for non-directional household lamps, all incandescent lamps will be phased out from the EU market starting September 1st, 2009. The first stage's requirement for street & office lighting is April 13th, 2010. The white paper covers:
