Russell Bedford Selects Correspondent Audit Firm in Lithuania

Audit firm UAB Gaudera has been appointed as the Russell Bedford International's correspondent firm in Lithuania

London, United Kingdom, July 19, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Russell Bedford International has expanded its coverage in Eastern Europe with the appointment of UAB Gaudera as a correspondent firm of the accounting network in Kaunas, Lithuania.

UAB Gaudera was established in Kaunas, the second city of Lithuania, in 1995. It was officially registered as an audit firm in 2002, and is certified by the Lithuanian Chamber of Auditors as being allowed to carry out company audits.

The firm has two shareholders, Edita Malukiene and Teresa Jankovskaja.

Edita Malukiene is a certified auditor with a master’s degree in business administration and management and a bachelor’s degree in economics and production control. She has some 14 years of professional experience in the fields of accounting and financial analysis. For four years she was a lecturer in the financial management of grant-funded projects. And she has had seven years’ experience as a director of her own firm.

Teresa Jankovskaja is also a certified auditor, and she has a diploma in economics from Vilnius University. She has more than 25 years of professional experience including roles as an economist and accountant in industry, and seven years with her present firm. Her specialisations include project audits, financial statement audits and financial and tax consulting.

The main activities of UAB Gaudera are audit, accounting, tax and financial consulting. Services are also offered in the areas of examination and analysis of accounting systems, estate valuation assistance and corporate reorganisation. Clients include state and public institutions and trading and production companies.

An important focus of the firm’s work since 2001 has been the auditing of projects financed by the European Union’s Structural Funds and Phare programme. The firm’s clients for this type of work are the recipients of EU funding, typically public institutions, municipalities, universities and other educational establishments, and small and medium sized businesses.

The firm has 11 personnel in total, the majority of whom speak English as well as Lithuanian. Russian and German are also spoken in the firm.
