Chest style Freezers are perfect for Commercial kitchens as they are very energy efficient and can handle being continuously opened. This comes from when the Freezer door is opened the Chilled air stays within the Freezer as cold air falls, whereas with an Upright Freezer when the door is opened the Chilled air falls out and to the floor. However for storage of some items Upright Freezers are advantageous as the can be easily organised with their interior shelving making items much easier to find.
