College student Jennifer Smith of Charleston County says, “I always look forward to tax free weekend to keep up with the latest trends in clothing for school.” Jennifer, along with many others look forward to this weekend to catch up on fashion and keep the hallways of schools looking stylish. Others, like Michelle Salater, owner of Written By Sumer', look forward to the weekend for the chance to save on a new video camera. “I have been waiting for months to buy my camera so I can save big,” says Michelle. Whether its clothing, supplies or computers, many residents across South Carolina look forward to this tax holiday.
Tax Free weekend can even be taken advantage of in the luxury of local resident’s own homes. Items ordered by phone or online ,even if the delivery date extends beyond Tax Free Weekend, are also tax free. Even better, if an item is ordered and is currently on back order, the item will still remain tax free as long as it is ordered during the time frame of Tax Free Weekend.
