Automatic Documentation of Operational Data for Metal Detectors

Software simplifies data documentation and saves costs.

Dransfeld, Germany, August 07, 2009 --(PR.com)-- With the new software SHARKNET 2 users can easily control industrial metal detectors. The software documents all data automatically.

The German manufacturer Cassel Messtechnik GmbH has recentlly launched the Windows-based software SHARKNET 2. It is a convenient solution to document operational data on a central computer according to HACCP and IFS. In addition users can configure metal detector parameters remotely.

The tool can be used in factories where both Cassel metal detector types - METAL SHARK® 1 and METAL SHARK® 2 - are used.

Data processing of control points in the production process is considerably gaining in importance. In the food and consumer goods industry metal detection is not only prescribed by law, such as IFS and HACCP. Meanwhile, also supermarket chains, discounters and downstream manufacturers demand metal detection technology for quality control. Retail organisations like the British Retail Consortium have even developed their own standards that are executed all over the world.

Producers using SHARKNET 2 save themselves work intensive documentations and the compiling of necessary data. The question whether metal detection was ensured during a given batch can be quickly answered at any time.

Controlling all units from a central location prevents faulty operations of users at the production line. Even an economical remote maintenance is possible when encountering technical difficulties. Hence, on-site service might not be necessary. Companies decrease operation costs using SHARKNET 2 which was tested in practical applications.
