Two Blog Authors Ask the Question: Are You Ready?‏

Two emergency preparedness bloggers put forth a challenge to their readers to find out if they are truly ready for an emergency. To commemorate Emergency Preparedness Month, this Seven Day Challenge will take place on a surprise date sometime in September.

Salt Lake City, UT, August 17, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Julie Weiss and Jodi Moore, the authors of the blog FoodStorageMadeEasy.net decided to put forth a challenge to all of their readers to find out how truly prepared they really are for any kind of emergency. The Seven Day Challenge is a mock disaster that will last 7 full days in which they will initiate an emergency “fire drill”. Seven Day Challenge participants will:

• Test their level of preparedness in a simulated emergency environment.
• Receive daily emails informing them of which utilities and/or food items they will have access to.
• Share, discuss, and give feedback on how they could have been “better” prepared via blog comments and facebook discussion groups

The challenge will take place sometime in September but Julie and Jodi are keeping tight-lipped about which day it will actually start. They decided to do the challenge in September because it is Emergency Preparedness Month. They have a lot of exciting emergency preparedness topics they are going to be covering all month long as they prepare for and “recover from” the Seven Day Challenge.

The Seven Day Challenge already has over 1100 participants signed up to join in. If you want to find out if you are ready for an emergency you can still sign up at http://foodstoragemadeeasy.net/7day through September 1. With lots to learn and prizes to be given out, this is one event you do not want to miss.
