As the supply arm of the U.S. Department of Defense, the DSCC is focused on establishing and maintaining a well-known supplier base of companies that successfully demonstrate that their products meet the specified performance, quality and reliability levels of the Department of Defense product qualification program. DSCC certification confirms that all military and non-government specifications and standards required for testing are current and controlled.

To receive DSCC certification, American EMI Solutions successfully demonstrated, through a DSCC regulated qualification testing program, the ability to compound, mix, test and produce electrically conductive elastomer materials that conform to the requirements listed in the MIL-DTL-83528C specification. AES was audited on a variety of factors, including traceability procedures, handling and storage processes, environmental control methods and training procedures. The audit also requires that the company's internal documents are current and changes to any documents are made in accordance with ISO-9001:2000. Where indicated, American EMI Solutions products conform to the testing requirements listed in the MIL-DTL-83528C specification.

American EMI Solutions currently offers sixteen Conductive Elastomer materials, five of which are MIL-DTL-83528C type specific; additional materials will be added as required to meet the industry needs.

"Achieving DSCC certification is a significant milestone that American EMI Solutions has accomplished," said Kimberly Abare, CEO of American EMI Solutions. "Attaining certification provides a quality alternative source for Conductive Elastomers to our existing and potential customers, allowing for continual growth within the military and aerospace markets. All of our Elastomers are produced in the United States at our Massachusetts facility. With many companies moving production of these materials offshore, we felt the timing was right for us to provide EMI shielding products which are produced domestically."

David Abare, Vice President of American EMI Solutions stated, "There is a new force in the Electro-Magnetic Interference (EMI) and Radio Frequency Interference (RFI) shielding products arena. The combination of American EMI Solutions (AES) and New England Die Cutting (NEDC), our sister company, creates a leader in development and application of advanced materials for merging technologies in electronics, transportation and alternative energy systems."
