Greensboro, NC, August 23, 2009 --(PR.com)-- The ActionCOACH Firm in Greensboro is proud to be a Bronze Sponsor of the “Triad Golfers Against Cancer” organization and 5th Annual Dinner & Auction for Cancer Research being held on September 20th at the Greensboro Country Club.

ActionCOACH, the World’s #1 Business Coaching Firm, is not only a major sponsor for the event, but also serves on the Board of Directors. Mr. Steve Brock, President of ActionCOACH North Carolina, Mr. Ross Cox and Mr. Dan Kovarik, Certified Business Coaches, are both excited to be a part of such a prestigious event that donates every dollar raised to NC research facilities dedicated to finding cures for all types of cancer. “We are honored to be involved and excited to take an active part in helping the community in every possible way. We are grateful to be a part of this motivated organization that has raised over $15 million to fund cancer research” says Steve Brock, President of ActionCOACH, North Carolina.

Golfers Against Cancer (GAC) is a national non-profit, 100% volunteer organization founded in 1997 and holds an annual event to raise money for local cancer researchers. Since 2005, the Triad GAC Annual Dinner for Cancer Research event has raised nearly $1 million for cancer studies in North Carolina. Over $250,000 has been granted for 2009 cancer researchers at Duke University, East Carolina University, Wake Forest University and The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. The 2009 Sponsors include ActionCOACH, Crown BMW, Carolina Bank, LabCorp, and Continental Airlines.

In addition to the sponsorship, ActionCOACH will be hosting the Cocktail Party for the annual event on August 26th at their brand new facility in Greensboro and providing the refreshments. “As a board member and advocate for this organization, I am very proud to host the Cocktail Party for the event at our new office space and training facility.” says Ross Cox, Certified Business Coach. This Cocktail Party is an “invitation only” event with the goal of recruiting new donors to the program. Howard McLeod, PharmD, of the UNC-Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center will give a brief talk about his cancer drug research, how the drugs work and the methods used to select the best medication for each patient. This project received grant funds from the Triad GAC in 2009.
