Denver, CO, August 25, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Denver-based Absolutely Public Relations has added social media PR strategy and tactics to its product line. The announcement is made by Absolutely PR Owner/Founder Maggie Chamberlin Holben, APR, who says the 10-year-old consulting firm actively embraces all the Web 2.0/social media tools -- including news feed blogs, SEO PR, Podcasting, Wikipedia, Facebook/LinkedIn/Twitter, and video channels such as YouTube -- to help clients turn up the volume on their brands in both traditional and online media messaging. Absolutely PR currently provides social media PR for both the Colorado BioScience Association (CBSA) and the Colorado Cleantech Industry Asssociation (CCIA).

“We laid the foundation for the CBSA’s social media PR program a year ago when hosting Twitter early-adopter Guy Kawasaki (@GuyKawasaki) as a keynote speaker at the 2008 BioWest Conference and the rest just flowed naturally, yielding nothing but positive response thus far,” explains Holben. “The CBSA Twitter page (@COBioscience) has 2,733 followers as of this writing. Further, the CBSA Facebook Fan Page has 165 fans and the LinkedIn Group has 410 members, plus we just launched the CBSA subgroup for the Rocky Mountain Life Science Investor Conference, coming to Denver’s Ritz-Carlton September 17. “

Absolutely PR has provided the same social media foundation for its newest client, the CCIA. The CCIA Twitter page (@COCleantech) has 2,461 followers as of this writing. In addition the CCIA Facebook Fan Page has 135 fans and the LinkedIn Group has 77 members. The CCIA News Feed Blog is found at http://coloradocleantech.blogspot.com

A summary, including related links, of both the CBSA and CCIA social media programs are found at http://absolutelypr.com/_wsn/page3.html

“The single most important thing we do for clients in the social media realm is to retain brand integrity and consistency of message as we make use of social media opportunities,” Holben says.

Results-Focused Media Relations Consulting

Holben believes Absolutely PR’s intent focus on campaign results and regular monitoring is what helps separate her firm from others. In March, Absolutely PR successfully placed a 168-inch feature for Bell Aquaculture in the Chicago Tribune print edition (it also posted online). The article by Food Columnist Bill Daley (@BillDaley) ran in the “Good Eating” section of the print edition. Ad value equivalency if the print exposure equates to $67,872. Print circulation reported by Cision Mediasource is 516,032 and the web edition has 3,615,338 visitors per month. Also, in March, Bell Aquaculture was featured in a television story on Newslink Indiana and in an article in Fish Farming International. Bell Aquaculture’s news feed blog is found at indianayellowperch.blogspot.com.

The CBSA has also enjoyed similar positive media exposure through the assistance of Absolutely PR. Since initiating CBSA’s media relations program in 2005, there have been 688 recorded print editorial media placements featuring CBSA, which is the equivalent of $480,093.80 if the same amount of space was purchased in advertising. This exposure totals 40,352,903 in circulation (figures as of June 30, 2009, media metrics report).

Baxa Corporation has also has experienced similar positive media exposure through its relationship with Absolutely PR during the past six years.
