Reading, United Kingdom, August 29, 2009 --(PR.com
)-- Affiliate Window, part of Digital Window, has launched ShopWindow Mobile to enable phone affiliates to build specific product comparison functionality into their websites, and help drive sales to mobile merchant partners.
The new ShopWindow Mobile software allows the network’s existing affiliates or any online publisher to build product comparison sites; enabling web shoppers to search and compare mobile phone deals from the Affiliate Window product database. With speed and ease, the new service empowers visitors to refine their search to specify phone, tariff, pay-as-you-go or free incentive gift, helping them find what they are looking for more quickly.
Rob Berrisford, managing director of CK Net which owns Mobile Mart and Top Rated Mobiles explains: “The problem with promoting mobile phones is that it is very difficult to deliver a like-for-like comparison to consumers. What impressed me most about the software is how simple and easy it is to build a search engine based on what consumer’s mobile phone purchasing requirements are.”
Previously, it has been difficult for merchants to provide up-to-date product feeds to affiliates with enough time for them to fully utilise them. By taking advantage of ShopWindow Mobile this is no longer the case and merchants will benefit from a larger volume of high quality leads, which are more likely to convert to buyers.
Dial-a-Phone is one of the first merchants to benefit from ShopWindow Mobile, Richard Buckton, affiliate manager at the mobile phone retailer remarks: “The mobile phone industry is a dynamic one with deals changing up to twice a day, making it easy for even an experienced affiliate to get caught out and display a link that no longer works. ShopWindow Mobile overcomes this by feeding live deals directly to the affiliates with no additional work required for either party. At the moment 20+ per cent of our sales are generated through the affiliate channel and, through this tool, this figure could rise significantly.”
Samantha Leigh, head of communications at Affiliate Window, comments: “The basic principle of affiliate marketing is that affiliates want to earn lots of commission and merchants want to make lots of sales. Now with the ShopWindow Mobile technology, when an affiliate deploys the software to build the product comparison feature into their site, they will be offering the consumer a complete shopping experience. As a result, more satisfied shoppers will take the step to make that final purchase with the merchant, therefore earning increased sales and commissions for both parties. Call me bias, but I think this is an invaluable tool for mobile phone affiliates and retailers a like.”
