September is National Preparedness Month

Kavapoint is ready to help with their iEmergencyLITE and iEmergency+ iPhone apps.

Sunnyvale, CA, September 12, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Are you ready or are you Ready? You should be according the FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency) and OHS (Office of Homeland Security).

National Preparedness Month is held each year in September to promote public awareness and urge preparedness in case of emergency. In a recent press release, OHS and FEMA encouraged everyone to take simple, but necessary, steps to prepare for emergencies.

“Disaster can strike any time, anywhere. By taking a few simple steps now, you can ensure that your family and your community are prepared before the next emergency arises," said FEMA's Acting Regional Administrator Doug Gore. "We urge everyone to take steps necessary to keep their family safe, which includes getting a kit, making a plan, being informed and getting involved."

Kavapoint currently has two iEmergency iPhone apps that can help in case of an emergency:
· iEmergencyLITE:
o Designed anyone without any existing medical conditions
o Holds the top 3 Emergency Contacts in case of emergency
o iEmergencyLITE is FREE
· iEmergency+
o Designed for anyone with medical conditions or allergies
o Holds critical emergency contacts and all medical information
