Act of Vandalism Detected by Sonitrol Pacific Ends in Arrest

Bothell, WA, September 13, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Police arrested a man with an outstanding warrant after Sonitrol Pacific detected a window breaking at a vacant building September 10.

Sonitrol Pacific Operator Minta Christopherson received an audio sensor activation from inside the vacated United Rentals building in Bothell, Wash. She heard what sounded like glass breaking, followed by very faint voices and sounds of movement, and called sheriff’s deputies.

Officers arrived to find a rock had been thrown through a window into a conference room area and talked to a couple people outside the facility. Deputies discovered one person had and outstanding warrant and took him custody.

Although this United Rentals location has been closed and sits empty, the business continues security monitoring with Sonitrol Pacific to protect the building in just these types of situations.
