Orangecast Social Media Marketing of Dallas Donates Time to Those in Job Transitions

Orangecast Social Media donated over 100 hours in the summer of 2009 helping professionals in career transitions market themselves to potential employers in a down economy.

Dallas, TX, September 23, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Orangecast Social Media, a marketing boutique specializing in online branding, reputation management, and promotion, focused their philanthropic efforts during the summer of 2009 towards assisting those that are in the midst of job transitions as a result of recession provoked cutbacks.

Orangecast Social Media Marketing spent over 100 hours in time in helping professionals in transition to better understand how blogging and social media could help them in their career search and online branding.

“I have found that professionals in transition feel pressure to enter the world of social media,” said Derick Schaefer, Managing Director of Orangecast Social Media. “Our inspiration in donating our time was to help steer professionals in transition in the right direction, versus wasting valuable job hunting time doing the wrong things.”

Some of the organizations Orangecast assisted include: Preston Trail Job Network, Technology Executives Networking Group, Collin SBDC Presentations, and Collin College Continuing Education “Starting a Blog Class.”

Blane Cox, Moderator of Preston Trail Job Network, a Frisco based career management group remarked, “Derick's presentation on blogs, helped our networking members better understand how participation in the blogosphere could help their personal and professional online branding.”
